Three view modes: Simple View, See Everything, and Legacy View
- Nothing to install and nothing to switch on. The choice is one card in Settings, and you can change it as often as you like.
- Your data does not move. All three modes read and write the same Ravelry account, so the same projects, stash and counters are there whichever one you pick.
- Available on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. Televisions and in-car screens always run the full layout, so they have no picker.
Open Settings. The very first card is View Mode, and the line under the title tells you which one you are in right now. Tap it to open the three choices.
Where that card lives depends on where you are standing. In See Everything it is the top of the Settings tab. In Simple View it is on the Profile tab, under the shortcuts. In Legacy View it is the top of the Settings page, and it is also in the menu you get by swiping up on the area bar. It is the same card in all three places, so you are never more than a tap or two from your way back.
The card opens into the three modes, each with a line saying what it is, and a tick against the one you are in. Tap another and the app changes shape at once. There is no confirmation step and no restart, because there is nothing to undo: you are choosing a layout, not converting anything.

- Large buttons, few tabs. Made for browsing what is already yours.

- The default, and the recommendation. Every feature, tool and setting the app has.
- Legacy View
- The classic Stash2Go layout. One page per area, no tabs, a bar along the bottom.
Simple View is a smaller app around the same account. You get four tabs - Home, Discover, Patterns and Profile - and a fifth, Feed, when the feed is switched on and you are online.
Home is six large tiles: My Projects, Queue, My Stash, Favorites, Messages and Forums, with a recently favorited row and a trending row underneath. The Patterns tab opens straight into Hot Right Now. The Profile tab holds the few things you still need: appearance, your saved searches, the tools, and Settings.
Some things are put away rather than removed. The tools list is shorter, without the insights section, the paired devices section, the colour palette, the pooling calculator, the global search, the network diagnostics or the newsletter. A pattern page drops its Statistics and Photos tabs. Everything else, including row counters, your PDFs and the whole of your Ravelry account, behaves exactly as it does in the full layout.
See Everything is what the app ships as. Five tabs: Home, Discover, Feed, Tools and Settings. Nothing is hidden, which also means this is the mode to be in when a guide tells you to open something and you cannot find it.
It is also the only mode where the home screen is fully yours to arrange, and where the complete toolkit is one tab away rather than two.
Legacy View has no tabs at all. A bar along the bottom holds eleven areas - Forums, Patterns, Projects, Stash, Library, Favorites, Bundles, Yarns, Queue, Shops and Friends - and whatever you tap fills the screen. Open a project or a pattern and it pushes one long scrolling page instead of splitting into tabs, the way the old Stash2Go did.
The choice is remembered per kind of device: one for your phone, one for your tablet, one for the browser. Simple View on the phone and See Everything on the laptop is a perfectly ordinary way to run the app, and neither will overwrite the other.
Apple TV, Google TV and in-car screens are not part of that. They always run the layout built for them, so the View Mode card does not appear there at all.
