Studio: a wall of your own yarn, a tray to try combinations, and patterns to match - beta
Studio opens onto your stash as a wall of colour, ordered by colour family - warm at the top, down through to the neutrals - so scrolling it is walking a fade. Every tile is your real yarn photo. Nothing is computed, blended or invented: what you see is what is on your shelves.
Tap a yarn to pull it into the palette tray at the bottom; tap again to put it back. Drag the tray yarns into the order you want - light to dark, warm to cool - and See the fade previews them as a band, which is where you find out whether they sing together or fight.
The Amount lens narrows the wall to what you can actually use: All, Enough for… - against a pattern's yardage - or Scraps, when the point is to use the leftovers up.
With two or more yarns in the tray, What can I make? searches for patterns that fit the palette you just picked - so the half hour of playing ends with something you could cast on, rather than a pretty screenshot.
