7I have yarn and want to know what to make

Stash Matchmaker finds patterns that match your yarn

1
Open the Stash Matchmaker

Navigate to the Discover tab and find the Stash Matchmaker section. The matchmaker needs to be enabled first - go to Settings → Appearance → Beta Features to turn it on.

Tip: Stash entries without yardage are hidden from the matchmaker - make sure your stash has yardage recorded.
2
Pick a Yarn from Your Stash

Select a yarn entry from your stash. The matchmaker reads its weight, gauge range, fiber content, and available yardage to find patterns that will work with it.

Need to add yarn first? See Manage Your Stash.
3
Browse Your Matches

Results are grouped by match quality: Tier 1 (exact match via Ravelry's pattern-ideas-for), Tier 2 (strong match by weight + gauge + fiber), and Tier 3 (broader weight-based match with auto-tuned filters). Each result shows the pattern name, designer, and match confidence.

Tip: Fiber and gauge auto-tuning only applies to Tier 2 and 3 results. Tier 1 uses Ravelry's exact matching.
Tap any pattern to see full details - see Pattern Details.
4
View Match Details

Long-press or tap the info icon on any match to see why it matched: gauge range, fiber compatibility, yardage fit, and the exact search parameters used. This helps you understand how confident the match is.
