Language, notifications, assisted features, and account options

1
Open Settings
Stash2Go settings screen showing all configuration options

Navigate to the Settings tab to configure your Stash2Go experience. The settings screen is organized into sections: Language, App Mode, Measurement Units, Notifications, Assisted Features, and Account & Privacy. Each section lets you tailor the app to your workflow.

2
Choose Your Language
Language selection screen showing available languages

Stash2Go supports 26 languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, and Swedish. Choose your preferred language and the entire app adapts - including knitting and crochet terms like stitch names, yarn weights, and needle types.

You can also set it to System to follow your device language automatically. If your device language isn't supported, the app falls back to English.

Tip: Every translation is hand-reviewed for craft accuracy - knitting and crochet terms are properly localized, not just machine-translated. For example, German uses “Anleitungen” (instructions) for patterns, which is the correct term in the craft community.
3
Simple Mode
Simple Mode - streamlined home screen with essential tiles only Full Mode - complete home screen with projects, stash, community, and all features

Toggle between Full and Simple app experience. Simple mode (left) hides advanced features - the Feed, Stash Matchmaker, Assisted Search, Forums, Color Palette, Yarn Pooling, and detailed statistics - for a cleaner, more focused interface that keeps the essentials: projects, stash, patterns, and your queue. Full mode (right) shows everything.

Tip: Simple mode is available on the mobile app (iPhone, iPad, Android). On web, the full experience is always shown. New to Stash2Go? Start in Simple mode to learn the basics, then switch to Full when you're ready to explore more features.
4
Unit Preferences
Unit Preferences setting to switch between Metric and Imperial measurements

Switch between Metric and Imperial measurements. This affects gauge display (stitches per 4″ vs 10 cm), needle sizes (mm vs US numbering), and yarn amounts (yards vs meters) throughout the app. Pattern search filters, stash details, and project info all adapt to your chosen unit system.

5
Notifications
Notification settings for Ravelry messages and forum replies

Configure push notifications for Ravelry messages and forum replies. Toggle each type on or off individually. When enabled, you'll receive a push notification on your device so you never miss a message from a friend or a reply to your forum post.

You can also set the check interval - how often Stash2Go polls for new notifications: every 30 minutes (default), every 6 hours, or once a day. Choose a less frequent interval to save battery.

Tip: Notifications require granting notification permissions to Stash2Go on your device. If you don't see notifications, check your device's notification settings.
6
Assisted Features
Assisted Features settings with toggles for Yarn Scan, Stashing, Yarn Estimator, Quick Comments, and Search

Stash2Go's assisted features help with tasks that would be tedious or impossible to do manually - like recognizing a yarn from a photo of its label, or translating a plain-language description into precise search filters. These features use pattern recognition and natural language processing running on secure servers; your data is used only to process the request and is not stored, shared, or used for training.

Enable or disable each assisted tool individually:

Yarn Scan - Point your camera at a yarn label to identify it from over 100,000 yarns.
Stashing - Quickly add yarn to your stash from a photo of the label.
Yarn Estimator - Estimate remaining yardage from a photo of your yarn.
Quick Comments - Get suggested comment text when commenting on projects and patterns.
Search - Describe what you want in plain language and let the assistant find matching patterns.

Tip: All assisted features are disabled by default. Enable the ones you want - each can be toggled on or off independently at any time.
7
Account & Privacy
Account and privacy settings with data export, permissions, and beta program options

Stash2Go takes your privacy seriously. The app contains no ads, no trackers, and no data selling. Your crafting data stays between you and Ravelry - Stash2Go acts as a private window into your Ravelry account and does not collect or store personal data on its own servers beyond what is needed to deliver the service.

Manage your account and privacy settings:

Export Data - Download your project data in CSV, JSON, or Excel-compatible formats.
Permissions - Manage camera, photo library, and location access.
Beta Program - Join for early access to upcoming features.
Delete Account - Remove your Stash2Go account data (your Ravelry account is not affected).

For export details, see Export Your Data.
