1I want to start a new project

Create a project, add yarn, set up counters, and start knitting

1
Open Your Dashboard
Stash2Go home screen showing project, stash, and pattern tiles

When you open Stash2Go, you'll see your crafting dashboard. All your projects, yarn stash, and patterns are just a tap away. Tap the Projects tile to see your project list.

2
Browse Your Projects
Projects list showing project cards with photos and progress

Your projects list shows all your knitting and crochet projects with progress, photos, and status at a glance. To start a new project, tap the + button in the header.

3
Create Your Project
Empty create project form with name, tags, and notes fields

The project creation form lets you name your project, add tags for easy searching, and write initial notes. Give your project a descriptive name so you can find it later.

4
Fill in the Details
Create project form filled in with Cozy Winter Scarf

Fill in your project name, add some tags (like "scarf", "winter", "gift"), and jot down initial notes about your plans. When you're ready, tap Create to add it to your Ravelry notebook.

Tip: Tags help you find projects later. Try tagging by recipient, technique, or season.
5
View Project Details
Project detail screen showing info tab with status, progress, and details

Once created, your project detail screen shows everything at a glance: status (in progress, finished, hibernating), progress percentage, craft type, and linked pattern. Tap the status or progress to update them as you work.

6
Add Project Photos
Project photos tab showing photo grid and upload options

Document your work with photos! The Photos tab lets you snap pictures directly or choose from your gallery. Your photos sync to Ravelry and show as a beautiful masonry grid.

Tip: Photos are a great way to track your progress and share your work with the community.
7
Link Your Yarn
Project yarns tab showing linked yarn with colorway and weight

The Yarns tab shows which yarns you're using for this project. You can search and link yarn from the Ravelry database, including brand, colorway, weight, and yardage used. This helps you track exactly how much yarn each project needs.

8
Use Row Counters
Project counters tab with row counter showing increment and decrement buttons

Keep track of your rows, repeats, or pattern sections with built-in counters. Tap + to increment as you work, and if you need to tink back. You can create multiple counters for different sections of your project.

Tip: Counters sync with Apple Watch, so you can count rows right from your wrist while you knit.
9
Keep Project Notes
Project notes tab showing dated notes with markdown formatting

The Notes tab is your project journal. Record modifications, gauge swatches, sizing adjustments, or anything else you want to remember. Notes are dated automatically and support rich text formatting.

10
Track Your Needles & Tools
Project tools tab showing linked needles and hooks

The Tools tab shows which needles or hooks you're using for this project. This is especially helpful when you have multiple projects going and need to remember which needles are tied up.
